Goose will return to Mexico in 2026 for the second-annual Viva El Gonzo destination festival in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Set for May 7th–9th at the “El Ganzo Oasis” beside the Hotel El Ganzo, Goose will play three, two-set shows and host an impressive undercard lineup of My Morning JacketCory Wong, The Disco Biscuits’ Tractorbeam instrumental house alter ego, and more.

Viva El Gonzo 2026 will also feature an acoustic performance by MMJ frontman Jim James, an LP Giobbi Dead House set of danceable Grateful Dead remixes, The California HoneydropsPigeons Playing Ping Pong, jam upstarts Eggy and Dogs In A Pile for two performances each, Kitchen Dwellers, a tribute to Nirvana from Twiddle frontman Mihalilespecial, and harpist Mikaela Davis.

Goose bassist Trevor Weekz will also don his DJ Marb Menthols persona, plus the mysterious El Ganzo Collective, Bogotá, Colombia’s La BOA, and San José del Cabo’s own Shamans returning for another Viva El Gonzo. Last year’s debut saw the members of Goose sit in and collaborate with supporting acts throughout the festival.

Viva El Gonzo travel packages include over a dozen hotel options, ranging from glamping setups steps away from the beach stages to luxurious all-inclusive resorts, all within a five-mile radius of the event grounds. Attendees will also be able to customize their experience with additional add-on activities like snorkeling, horseback riding, and hiking. Goose is offering a small number of “music only” tickets for fans who would prefer to arrange their own lodging and transportation.

The festival experience centers around the immersive El Ganzo Oasis, where artists will perform on several beach stages. Amid the lush tropical growth, Goose will construct its own world with elaborate installations, dotted with pop-up experiences, wellness events, and a marketplace of local vendors and cuisines. Once the sun goes down, attendees can take a short walk down the beach for late-night sets at Crania, an oceanside club “that transforms into a post-apocalyptic neon world of art and music,” per a press release.
