[Originally published 8/18/20]: Goose is the latest band within the jam scene to announce their own drive-in performance as the traditional concert industry remains in limbo heading into the coming fall months.

On Tuesday, the rock quartet announced their forthcoming drive-in debut at the Yarmouth Drive-In in West Yarmouth, MA planned for Saturday, September 12th. The one-night show on Cape Cod will feature multiple sets, and fans in attendance will be able to enjoy the performance from the designated socially distant areas adjacent to their vehicles. The outdoor performance will be the band’s first since they wrapped their very successful virtual Bingo Tour in late June, and their first in-person show since their tour was canceled back in March.

As Goose singer/guitarist/keyboardist Peter Anspach said with Tuesday’s announcement,

It’s been almost 5 months since we played for an audience, so we are beyond stoked to hang with our fans! I recently attended a show at Yarmouth and was blown away by the care and safety awareness demonstrated by the staff. We wanted to make sure the experience would be comfortable and fun for all our fans. Unlike most traditional concerts, there is no PA system. At a drive-in show, the sound is entirely generated by fans via FM car radio. I was skeptical about this at first, but once the show began, it was magical. We encourage everyone to bring additional speakers and/or headphones that can connect to FM radio in order to maximize the sound experience. Don’t worry, after blasting our car radio for 2+ hours, the car battery was still cooking!

Tickets for the one-night event will go on sale this Wednesday, August 19th, at 10 a.m. ET here. Head to the band’s website for more info.
