Goose brought its weekend excursion to the Midwest to a close on Sunday with a show in Indianapolis, IN. The one-off concert at TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park came following the band’s two-night return to Legend Valley in Thornville, OH on Friday and Saturday.
The show saw Goose reset the deck after mining its ever-expanding catalog over the Ohio border. The band placed originals “Honeybee” and “Echo of a Rose” alongside a cover of Paul Simon‘s “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” in the first set, before a run of “Turned Clouds”, “Arcadia”, “Seekers on the Ridge Pt. 1” and part two, and “Yeti” wrapped the frame.
Set two began with “SOS”, followed by “(dawn)” prior to a sandwich of Kylie Minogue‘s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” between Peter Anspach‘s “Pancakes”. Those following along from the Ohio shows will note that this transitional jam was axed from Goose’s second set on Saturday. The band then closed out the frame with “Slow Ready” before an encore of “Hot Tea” put a cap on the evening.
