Goose ramped up its fall tour with a three-show Midwest run that highlighted the band’s range, from the unusual dynamics of a co-headlining bill with Mt. Joy in Madison, WI to the exploratory jams and fresh covers that followed in Michigan and Chicago. Across the three nights, the band balanced fan favorites with adventurous improvisation, nods to classic rock and ’80s pop, and even a debut cover, giving each stop its own distinct flavor.

The run began on Wednesday, September 17th at Madison’s Kohl Center, where Goose shared a double bill with Mt. Joy. The pairing made for a curious split crowd, with some Goose fans exiting between sets as Mt. Joy’s followers filed in. Goose’s performance was shorter than usual, and the night took another odd turn when Mt. Joy paused early in its set for a medical emergency near the stage. Still, the evening closed on a high note, with both bands joining forces for a three-song encore that included Ween’s “Ocean Man” and 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up?”.
Goose – “Animal”, “Royal” – 9/17/25
Then, on Friday the 19th at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights, MI, Goose stretched out in more familiar territory. The jam-heavy first set finished with a cover of Kenny Loggins, who recently joined the band on stage at Newport Folk Festival. This time Goose steered clear of the “Danger Zone”, opting instead for “Make the Move”, which was tucked inside “SALT”. The band opened the second frame with a 25-minute “Big Modern!” and capped the set with a jamtronica-tinged cover of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” before sending fans off with a “Rockdale” encore.
Goose – “Elizabeth” – 9/19/25
The run wrapped on Saturday, September 20th at Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion with a show that combined fan favorites and surprises. Goose opened with The Who’s “Eminence Front” and later debuted a synth-heavy cover of Future Islands’ “Peach” toward the end of the first set. A nearly 25-minute “Tumble” jam gave the previous night’s “Big Modern!” a run for its money, and a heavy, drum-fueled “The Empress of Organos” provided a climactic finale for the weekend.
