Goose continued its romp through the British Isles Thursday at the Manchester Academy 2 at the University of Manchester.

Kicking off a run of shows in England, Thursday’s stop in Manchester was hailed by fans as one of the strongest performances of the band’s European sojourn so far. The show included covers of The Band‘s “Look Out Cleveland”, which featured some rare lead vocals by percussionist Jeff Arevalo, and Prince‘s “I Would Die 4 U”, which made its first appearance in a Goose setlist since its debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in October and featured a tease of Crazy Frog‘s “Axel F” from Rick Mitarotonda.

Standout jams included “Everything Must Go” and the show-closing sequence of “Drive” > “A Western Sun” > “Drive”, which finished with an unexpected “Dawn” ending.
