Gov’t Mule will bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026 with a three-show, two-city run in New York culminating with a New Year’s Eve show at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre celebrating the year 1971, “when music changed the world” [get tickets].

The 2025 Mule New Year’s run will begin on Sunday, December 28th at Proctors in Schenectady, NY. From there, the Warren Haynes-led blues-rock four-piece will head to New York, NY’s Beacon Theatre—a familiar end-of-year haunt for the group—on Tuesday, December 30th.

Finally, on Wednesday, December 31st, Gov’t Mule will close out 2025 by diving into the music of 1971. As the band noted in the run’s announcement, “1971 shaped the soundtrack of a generation and forever changed rock and roll history. This December, Mule brings it all back to life on NYE at the Beacon.”

In other themed Gov’t Mule holiday concert news, the band recently announced that it will pay homage to Aerosmith during its two-stop Halloween run at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre (10/31) and Philadelphia, PA’s The Met (11/1).

Gov’t Mule has been busy in recent weeks as its Back in the Saddle Tour has gotten rolling. While drummer Matt Abts has remained on the disabled list throughout the tour, Terence Higgins (Warren Haynes Band) has been holding down the drum kit alongside Haynes (guitar, vocals), Danny Louis (keys, brass), and Kevin Scott (bass) throughout the first batch of dates, which included a run of shows co-headlining (and collaborating with) Tedeschi Trucks Band. The co-headline TTB/Mule run is due to resume in mid-October. Find a full list of upcoming dates here.
