Gov’t Mule, the Warren Haynes-led blues-rock powerhouse, has announced its initial tour plans for 2026. The new batch of tour dates includes a special “Mile High Mule” show at Denver, CO’s Mission Ballroom in late March, a brief run of April dates in Indiana and the Southeast, and an eight-show summer co-headline run with blues stalwart Joe Bonamassa [get tickets].
After closing the touring year for Gov’t Mule—composed of Warren Haynes (guitar, vocals), Matt Abts (drums), Danny Louis (keys, more), and Kevin Scott (bass)—with a late-December show in Schenectady, NY (12/28) and the quartet’s annual New Year’s shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre (12/30, 12/31), Haynes will begin his 2026 itinerary with his previously announced Winter of Warren tour featuring runs of solo dates as well as a smattering of shows with his Warren Haynes Band throughout February and early March.
Gov’t Mule will kick off its 2026 schedule with its “Mile High Mule” show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom before continuing on to newly announced tour dates in Shipshewana, IN (4/7), Nashville, IN (4/8), and Charleston, SC (4/10). The April run will come to a close with an appearance at Joe Bonamassa’s Sound Wave Beach Weekend on April 11th.
Later in the year, Gov’t Mule will link up with Joe Bonamassa again for a run of co-headlining amphitheater tour dates in Vienna, VA (7/29), Bangor, ME (7/31), Gilford, NH (8/1), Baltimore, MD (8/8), Youngstown, OH (8/9), Interlochen, MI (8/14), Welch, MN (8/15), and Lincoln, NE (8/16). “Joe Bonamassa and I go back a long way,” shared Haynes in a statement. “We’ve played together many times, but this is the first time we’ve ever actually toured together. Really looking forward to it!”

Warren Haynes w/ Joe Bonamassa – Guitar Center’s King of the Blues 2011
To wrap up Mule’s celebratory 30th anniversary year in 2025, Gov’t Mule will embark on a three-night, two-city New Year’s run. This year’s three-night stand in New York will begin on December 28th in Schenectady before returning to the Beacon Theatre on December 30th and 31st for Mule’s 20th New Year’s Eve celebration at the famed Manhattan venue.
The band’s New Year’s Eve show, which also marks Gov’t Mule’s 50th performance at the Beacon, will honor the music of 1971, which Haynes has dubbed “arguably the greatest year in rock music history.” Adding to the celebrations that evening, Warren will bring rock and roll history to life by playing three original iconic guitars from the ‘70s courtesy of Family Guitars: Jerry Garcia’s Travis Bean TB500 #11 (used to record the Grateful Dead’s Terrapin Station), Dickey Betts’ Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Dark Back (played at the iconic Fillmore East shows and on the first three Allman Brothers Band albums), and Mike Bloomfield’s 1963 Fender Telecaster (used during Bob Dylan’s infamous 1965 “going electric” Newport Folk Festival set and to record Highway 61 Revisited). The 12/31/25 performance will also feature special guests YOLA, Jackie Greene, and The Chronic Horns. Get your tickets here.
