Gov’t Mule is deep into their Revolution Come, Revolution Go tour, with their latest stop at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on Friday night. The Waren Haynes-led group played three hours of music across two sets and a two-song encore, while also filming for a Live DVD. The setlist contained a healthy dose of original music, as well as covers of The Staples Singers‘ “Hammer & Nails”, Grand Funk Railroad‘s “Sin’s A Good Man’s Brother”–which had not been played live by Gov’t Mule since October 15, 2002–and Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Effigy”. Gov’t Mule will return to the Capitol Theatre for night two later this evening.
