As yesterday was the marijuana-themed celebration known as 4/20, Gov’t Mule made it a point to celebrate in style with a 420-friendly performance at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA. The show opened with an ode to marijuana, in the form of Black Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf.”

The show also featured guest sit-ins from Marcus King, Craig Sorrells, Dean Mitchell & Justin “JJ” Johnson throughout the show, including various permutations on “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” and “I’d Rather Go Blind.” Later in the show, Mule welcomed back Sorrells for an appropriately-themed cover of Bob Marley’s “Lively Up Yourself.” The group also called upon the “4:20 Dancers” to join in for “Thorazine Shuffle,” before closing out the night with a cover of “Gonna Send You Back To Georgia” for the encore.
