This September, the annual Grand Point North Festival at Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont, will return, and they’re bringing quite a crew of musicians along for the ride. The festival, scheduled for September 16th and 17th, will see a return of Grace Potter, who has previously headlined both Saturday and Sunday night of the festival. This year, Potter will still perform both nights, headlining on Saturday, though she will bow out Sunday, letting Trey Anastasio Band close out the festival with their Sunday headlining spot, marking TAB’s first show in Burlington since 2011.
Potter had this to say about the addition of Trey on the bill, “This is a very special year for Grand Point North. Growing up, I went to countless Phish concerts and the band was synonymous with the vibrant Vermont music scene. It’s truly humbling to come full circle and have Trey headline Sunday at the Waterfront. I have a feeling this year is going to be one for the books.”
The weekend will also see performances by Dawes, Mondo Cozmo, Joseph, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Low Cut Connie, Son Little, and Tank & The Bangas. Tickets and more information about the festival are available on Grand Point North’s website.
