Coinciding with Dead & Company‘s 2025 Dead Forever Sphere residency, a new retrospective art and photo exhibit celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead is set to take place now until May 17th at Animazing Gallery in Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

The exhibit will showcase the work of psychedelic rock artist Stanley Mouse (creator of the Dead’s iconic skeleton and roses image, and other Grateful Dead iconography), longtime Grateful Dead photographer Jay Blakesberg, and photographer Chloe Weir (daughter of Bob Weir), along with historical images from the Grateful Dead’s early days curated by Ricki Blakesberg from Retro Photo Archive.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet and chat with the artists at a series of personal appearances. Jay Blakesberg and Chloe Weir will share stories about the photos on display on March 22nd, April 19th, and May 10th from 12 to 2 p.m.; Stanley Mouse will drop by on April 18th and 19th from 12 to 3 p.m.; and Jay Blakesberg will hold a book signing for his new fine art coffee table book—Dead & Company: Rainbow Full of Sound—on March 29th at 12 p.m.

Animazing will also debut the “Jerry Gnome,” a limited edition cast bronze 27-inch-tall statue of Jerry Garcia created by Bay Area artist and sculptor Zim Caroselli, who was one of the original artists who created the giant “Puppets and Floats” at the Grateful Dead’s annual Mardis Gras concerts in the Bay Area in the mid-1980s and 1990s.

Additionally, the gallery will host a special Bicycle Day event on April 19th celebrating the psychedelic revolution with appearances by all artists and unique blotter art produced with Shakedown Gallery’s Matthew Rick.

The exhibit will also feature a life-size stature of Jerry Garcia created by Larry “Rubber” Torro and a Gibson SG guitar customized by San Francisco guitar tech Gary Brawer in 2007 that includes Garcia’s original stage-played humbucker pickup.
