Grateful Dead Inducted Into Counterculture Hall of Fame

Earlier this week, at the Cannabis Cup awards ceremony on, you guessed it, 4/20, The Grateful Dead were inducted into the Counterculture Hall of Fame. Created in 1997 by High Times editor Steven Hager, the Dead join a list of noteworthy counterculture figures including Bob Marley, Louis Armstrong, Jack Kerouac, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and more.

Jerry Garcia’s daughter Trixie Garcia and Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann were on hand in Denver, CO to accept the honors. About the induction, Kreutzmann said, “The only hall of fame that really matters is the one I’m being inducted to right now!”
