On Wednesday night, Greensky Bluegrass continued their early-2019 All For Money tour with a performance at Charleston, SC’s Charleston Music Hall featuring support from Cris Jacobs Band.
Following Jacobs’ opening set, Greensky took the stage and opened their two-set performance with If Sorrows Swim track “In Control”. “A Letter To Seymour” was up next, followed by the first 2019 renditions of Tuesday Letter cut “Grow Bananas” and Steppin’ In It‘s “Last Winter In Copper Country”. “Into The Rafters” and Bill Monroe‘s “Wheel Hoss” followed, before Five Interstates (2008) number “200 Miles From Montana”, All For Money tracks “Cathedral Eyes” and “Ashes”, and If Sorrows Swim cut “Kerosene” closed out set one.
Recent setlist staple “Just To Lie” opened the second frame before moving seamlessly into a pair of selections from 2016’s Shouted, Written Down, & Quoted, “Hold On” and “Take Cover”. Another All For Money song came next in “Do It Alone”, followed by a cover of John Hartford‘s “Steam Powered Aeroplane”. All For Money‘s “Wish I Didn’t Know” followed, before the band took things up an extra notch with “Burn Them”.
Finally, the band welcomed Cris Jacobs to join them for the set’s final two songs, “Jaywalking” and The Traveling Wilburys‘ “Handle With Care”, before returning for a “Dustbowl Overture” encore.
Greensky will continue their run of performances with Cris Jacobs Band tonight, Thursday, January 24th, at The Mill & Mine in Knoxville, TN. For a full list of Greensky Bluegrass’s upcoming All For Money tour dates, head to the band’s website here.
