Greensky Bluegrass has announced a run of eight shows with The Wood Brothers that will take place at amphitheaters around the East Coast and South this summer.
The run will kick off on August 11th in Bridgeport, CT before stopping in Vienna, VA (8/12); Seaside Heights, NJ (8/13); and Outer Banks, NC (8/14). The bands will then have a few days off before a second weekend of shows beginning on the 17th in Charlottesville, VA. They will continue on to Asheville, NC and Pelham, TN on the 18th and 19th respectively before wrapping up in Raleigh, NC on August 20th.
In a post on social media, Greensky mandolinist/vocalist Paul Hoffman expressed the band’s excitement to link up with The Wood Brothers.
“to say i’m excited for this tour is an understatement”, he wrote. “when we made a list of bands that would be great for a summer tour, The Wood Brothers came in at #1 with a score of ‘perfect’. 2020 took that tour away but two years later, it’s back! i’m a huge fan of the music and the players. can’t help but feel like the luckiest man to go out and do this run”
