In case you hadn’t heard, things got a little messy at last month’s Greensky Bluegrass show in Atlanta. After someone became physically ill during the band’s concert at The Eastern on January 20th and it went semi-viral, Greensky Bluegrass is now selling branded barf bags at its merch table.

Without getting too graphic (this is a family publication after all), one person on the general admission floor at The Eastern had it coming out of both ends. While reports have circulated online that this set off a “chain reaction” of other people vomiting, others who were in attendance claim it was just the one person who quickly fled the scene. The incident occurred late in the first set, ironically not long after the band played “Give A Shit” and “One Slip”. Greensky Bluegrass finished out the set but took an extended set break as venue staff cleaned up the spill and attempted to alleviate the smell.

The band made a not-so-subtle nod to the incident in a video posted to its social media channels on Thursday, showing dobro player Anders Beck strolling up to the merch table. After asking if Greensky Bluegrass has any new merch for the run, he’s handed what anyone who has ever flown in an airplane will recognize as a barf bag.

“You asked, we listened,” Beck says before giving a quick demonstration. Though, technically, the bag could work for the other end too.

Greensky Bluegrass’ tour continues tonight, February 2nd in Boston. No word on whether their branded Imodium is in yet.
