Gregg Allman Pens Statement Remembering The Late Butch Trucks

While the entire music community remains broken up about the loss of Butch Trucks, few people have known the man as long as his bandmate Gregg Allman. While there were many bumps in the Allman Brothers Band road, the two remained loyal to the project for a full 45 years together.

Allman released a statement about Trucks’ death, saying, “I’m heartbroken. I’ve lost another brother and it hurts beyond words. Butch and I knew each other since we were teenagers and we were bandmates for over 45 years. He was a great man and a great drummer and I’m going to miss him forever. Rest In Peace Brother Butch.”
