Just last month, Gregg Allman bowed out from a tour scheduled that included am extensive residency at NYC’s City Winery, instead deciding to take time off and to focus his energy on healing. Allman had previously checked into the Mayo Clinic with a severe case of pneumonia, assumedly due to the rigorous touring schedule that he played during the first half of 2016.

Though Allman’s health has been an issue over the last months, the famed Allman Brothers Band founder has quietly rescheduled all of the shows that were previously cancelled. That includes four June nights in Macon, GA – Allman’s hometown – as well as a series of shows through the Southeast. He’s also rescheduled the City Winery run for July 2017, and will even play Birmingham in the middle of October, 2017.

If those dates seem far away, it’s because they are. Allman deserves a lengthy break from performing after 45+ years of life on the road, and we’ll continue to send our best wishes for his full recovery.
