Greta Van Fleet took its arena-sized spectacle to Duluth, GA on Tuesday for the band’s Starcatcher World Tour. The show at the Gas South Arena just outside Atlanta witnessed the Michigan-made band fully embrace the decadence and theatrics of ’70s classic rock.
Ahead of Greta Van Fleet’s 17-song performance, the band’s guitarist Jake Kiszka opened the show with his side project Mirador followed by a set from rising Brooklyn post-punk act Geese. When it came time for Greta Van Fleet, the band took control of the stage as its lavish spectacle of flames, lights, and larger-than-life guitar riffs recalled the days of Led Zeppelin, Rush, and other classic rock greats.

Singer Josh Kiszka—who leads the band alongside brothers Jake and Sam (bass, keyboards) and Danny Wagner (drums)—was the consummate frontman, testing the upper limits of his vocal range and darting across the stage between wardrobe changes. Though the band is known for its hard-hitting rock music, Greta Van Fleet slowed things down in Duluth with a three-song mini acoustic set featuring a cover of “Unchained Melody”, “Waited All Your Life” from Starcatcher, and “Black Smoke Rising”. The band made sure to give plenty of love to its new disc, playing nine of the ten songs from its 2023 album, fittingly closing the show with “Farewell for Now”.
