H.E.R. appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where the critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter performed “For Anyone”, off her 2021 album, Back of My Mind.

Released back on June 18th, “For Anyone” appears as the 19th track on the lengthy 21-track Back of My Mind album, which followed H.E.R.’s wildly successful 2019 effort, I Used To Know Her.

The four-time Grammy-award winner performed “For Anyone” with the help of a four-piece backing band, including two vocalists, a keyboardist, and a bassist. Stretching the tune slightly longer than the album’s four-minute runtime, H.E.R. provided soulful vocals from behind a sparkling keyboard of her own. Arriving as a delicate song about a lost lover, H.E.R. sang “For Anyone” with raw passion, evoking emotion from Stephen Colbert himself, who shook her hand and said “That was so sweet” at the end of the performance.
