The countdown to 4/20 has already begun, and Halfway to SweetWater Music Fest is set to mark the midway point with three days of music and art at Colonial Oak Music Park in historic St. Augustine, FL on October 17th–19th.
In addition to three days of music, festivalgoers will have a wide selection of immersive entertainment options, with freak show and burlesque performances, interactive art installations, roving performers, and surprise pop-ups. After dark, laser shows, fire dancers, and visual art displays will transform the park into a dreamlike, psychedelic wonderland.
Bringing together a hand-picked mix of top jam, funk, rock, and soul artists—including Andy Frasco & The U.N., Cool Cool Cool, Happy Landing, Guavatron, and Funk You—along with tribute sets from Steeln’ Peaches (Allman Brothers), Funkin Grateful and One Good Ring (Grateful Dead), and Road to Nowhere (Talking Heads), Halfway to SweetWater Music Fest will channel the spirit of Sweetwater 420 Fest with performances across three stages in a picturesque setting: beneath the park’s iconic Spanish moss-covered oak tree in the fabled home of the Fountain of Youth.
The action is set to begin at the Park on Friday night with a St. Augustine Distillery-sponsored VIP kick-off party headlined by Steelin’ Peaches, One Good Ring, and Rae and the Ragdolls. Attendees who do not have VIP tickets can purchase Friday tickets separately.
Accompanying the sounds of live music on Friday will be the spectacular sights of Dark Side of the Rainbow, a first-of-its-kind “laser burlesque odyssey” from the mind of Jim Romano featuring the electrifying multimedia talents of Ruby Tesla and Laser Fox Productions. “Step into a world where sensuality meets science fiction, where every beam of light tells a story, and every movement pulses with cosmic energy,” reads an official description of Dark Side of the Rainbow, which will incorporate elements of The Wizard of Oz. “This isn’t just a show—it’s a psychedelic fusion of fantasy, light, and liberation, choreographed to dazzle and disrupt. Prepare to be mesmerized. The rainbow has a dark side… and it’s glorious.”
