Hangtown Music Festival will return this October for its final year before organizers retire the name. The festival will take place at its new home at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, CA on October 20th–23rd with a lineup featuring Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Mother Hips, and more.
Host band Railroad Earth will play three sets over the course of the weekend, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will perform A Diesel Insane: The Music Of David Bowie, a late-night tribute to the Thin White Duke. The Hangtown 2022 lineup will also include beloved bluegrass quintet The Brothers Comatose, Afrobeat ensemble Polyrhythmics, singer-songwriter-led Ryan Monbleau Band, husband-and-wife folk duo Ordinary Elephant, Americana outfit AJ Lee & Blue Summit, and indie folk-rockers Sway Wild. Additional artists will be added to the Hangtown lineup soon.

Founded in 2011 as Hangtown Halloween Ball, Hangtown Music Festival was previously held at El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, CA. The fall festival has become a regional favorite, attracting larger and larger crowds each year. Hangtown Music Festival 2022 will mark the end of an era as event organizers plan to retire the name once and for all.
Blind Faith tickets are still available, but the festival announced in a post on social media that only 100 General Admission tickets remain at the lowest tier.
