Healing Appalachia will return to the State Fairgrounds of West Virginia in Lewisburg from September 19th–21st, 2024 with a lineup topped by Tyler Childers, My Morning Jacket, Sierra Ferrell, Shooter Jennings, and more.
Founded with the mission of raising funds and awareness to combat opioid addiction in the Appalachian region, Healing Appalachia benefits Childers’ Hope In The Hills foundation and supports a wide array of projects and programs from youth prevention to recovery houses. Last year, the festival hosted a memorable collaboration between Tyler Childers and Trey Anastasio, each of whom has been open about their past struggles with addiction.
“Like Farm Aid does to raise awareness and funds for America’s small, sustainable family farms, we want to bring together folks to raise funds and awareness to celebrate recovery through our main event Healing Appalachia each September, and work year-round on more projects fostering communities of recovery,” the festival website reads.
Rounding out the Healing Appalachia 2024 artist lineup are Benjamin Tod & Lost Dog Street Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, S.G. Goodman, Hiss Golden Messenger, Sierra Hull, Dan Reeder, Oliver Wood Trio, Nolan Taylor, Shadowgrass, and many more. Click below to view the entire lineup. The festival will once again kick off on Wednesday with a free event for the local community and those who arrive early—no ticket necessary—and host separately ticketed late-night sets each evening.
Tickets for both the festival and the late-night sets will go on sale July 9th at 10 a.m. ET. Ticket prices include all three days of music and onsite primitive camping.
“Since Hope in the Hills is volunteer-run and recovery-based, we aim to keep tickets as affordable as possible so all can come,” the festival said in the lineup announcement. “These artists dedicate their time and talent so funds can be directly distributed to recovery efforts across Appalachia and to cover basic production costs needed to run our festival!”
