In response to the widespread devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires, Help on the Way—a new Grateful Dead-inspired project featuring Eric Krasno and members of The String Cheese Incident, Terrapin Family Band, and Circles Around The Sun—will come together on February 25th for a special benefit concert at the Lodge Room in Highland Park, CA.
The relief benefit will provide a night of music and community healing, with 100% of proceeds going toward rebuilding Altadena and helping those affected by the Eaton Fire. Among the lineup will be Eric Krasno, Ross James, Jason Hann, Alex Koford, Grahame Lesh, and Adam MacDougall, plus “very special guests.”
“We are literally in the ashes of a dark time right now,” Eric Krasno wrote in a post announcing the show. “It feels strange, surreal and hard to think about making music right now….. But ultimately it is what we do and we are determined to rise up and rebuild. … Please join us, dance, sing and raise up the people that need it most right now.”

Help on the Way originally formed after the recent loss of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh as a way for fans and musicians who had played with members of the Dead to heal and reconnect through music. According to the event description, “What started as a one-off jam quickly grew into something greater, with undeniable chemistry driving the group to continue celebrating the Dead’s music.” The band will continue its mission through this special benefit concert, harnessing music’s unique ability to bring people together in times of need.
