Hinterland Music Festival has announced the artist lineup for its 2022 event, set to return to the Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater in St. Charles, Iowa in an expanded, four-day format on August 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th.
Bluegrass will take center stage on Thursday, August 4th with performances by Billy Strings, Sierra Ferrell, The Texas Gentlemen, and Riddy Arman. On Friday, August 5th, British indie-rockers Glass Animals will top the lineup alongside Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Aces, Briston Maroney, Goth Babe, Petey, and York Lore.
Saturday, August 6th will feature a headlining show by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats in addition to performances by Lake Street Dive, Trampled By Turtles, Jenny Lewis, Durand Jones & The Indications, TK & The Holy Know-Nothings, Jesse Daniel, and Miko Marks.
Finally, an indie/alternative-centric Sunday lineup will bring Phoebe Bridgers, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Lucy Dacus, Muna, The Aubreys, Liz Cooper, Tré Burt, The Kernal, and Hayden Pedigo to the Hinterland Music Festival stage.
In addition to the new fourth day, the 2022 edition of Hinterland will boast more parking options, more food vendors, more bathrooms, a Des Moines shuttle service, a new campground layout, new and improved glamping options, and more.
