Hogs For The Cause returned to the New Orleans area on Friday and Saturday, June 4th and 5th, 2021, for a weekend filled with barbecue, beer, and music that helped raise millions of dollars for families fighting pediatric cancer.

In addition to family activities, incredible food, and a slew of pork-related cooking competitions, the 2021 edition of the fundraising festival featured a standout musical lineup across two stages.

On Friday, concertgoers were treated to a number of fan-favorite local acts including Jonathon “Boogie” Long, The Iceman Special, Boyfriend, and Anders Osborne. The lineup also featured an early performance from Early James.

To cap the festivities at Hogs For The Cause 2021 day one, Robert Randolph & The Family Band stormed the Michelob Ultra stage with The Soul Rebels, Tony Hall (Dumpstaphunk), Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, and more for a collaborative blowout.

The Robert Randolph/Soul Rebels crossover offered a preview of sorts for the upcoming Juneteenth Unityfest streaming event later this month. Presented by The Robert Randolph Foundation, the event will feature Randolph, The Soul Rebels, Dave Matthews and Carter Beauford, Earth, Wind & Fire, Khruangbin, and more. On Saturday, the music lineup at Hogs For The Cause continued with an afternoon full of performances by Honey Island Swamp Band, Travers Brothership, Stooges Brass Band, Molly Tuttle, and Sweet Crude.

For the penultimate set of the weekend on the main stage, Andy Frasco & The U.N. delivered a typically outrageous performance that saw the barefoot frontman venture into the mud and get dirty with the crowd.

NOLA supergroup Dragon Smoke also turned in a fiery set on the Phelps Dunbar stage before Old Crow Medicine Show put a bow on the weekend.
