Irish indie-rock artist Hozier has added 15 more North American shows to his upcoming Wasteland, Baby! Tour. The newly-announced dates will add onto the 26 spring performances shared in the tour’s initial announcement back in December. The tour will now see the popular singer/guitarist visit most major U.S. cities across the southeast and northern midwest.
Hozier’s upcoming tour includes appearances at notable music festivals including Bonnaroo, Hangout Fest, Boston Calling, and Ohio’s LaureLive Music Festival. Hozier is also scheduled to perform at the star-studded “Love Rocks NYC” Benefit Show at the Beacon Theatre in New York City next month on March 7th.
The new batch of upcoming dates shared on Monday will begin on May 21st with a show in Jacksonville, FL, and continue into the early summer months before wrapping on June 15th following his appearance at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN. The second leg of concert dates includes scheduled performances at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC (5/22); Benedum Center for the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, PA (5/26); The Fillmore Detroit in Detroit, MI (5/28); The Sylvee in Madison, WI (6/1); the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN (6/2); Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, MO (6/6); Murat Theatre at Old National Centre in Indianapolis, IN (6/10); and Iroquois Amphitheater in Louisville, KY on June 11th, just to name a few.
Hozier returned to the indie-pop headlines late last year when he released his four-track Nina Cried Power EP. The opening track from the mini album, “Nina Cried Power” (feat. Mavis Staples), will also appear on his forthcoming sophomore LP, Wasteland Baby! His latest single, “Almost (Sweet Music)” was released on January 16th. Wasteland Baby! is scheduled to arrive on March 1st via Rubyworks/Island Records.
Tickets to the newly-added headlining concert dates will go on sale beginning this Friday, February 8th, at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Fans can reference the full schedule below for details.
