Yesterday, the NY Times broke the news that Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal multi-instrumentalist Josh Homme secretly wrote and recorded an album together. Entitled Post Pop Depression, the new release was completely done under the radar, and will independently be released in March. Read more about this revealed project here.
Last night, they visited Stephen Colbert on The Late Show and spoke a little more of the new album, performed a song from it, and posted the studio version online. Evidently they went out into a desert to record Post Pop Depression after Iggy proposed the idea via text to Homme.
