It’s no secret that Phish’s music is rooted in jazz influences. From the intricate melodies to the complex rhythms, Phish lends themselves to the jazz canon. Fortunately, Jazz Is Phish is here to take those influences to the next level, with elite musicians performing all-instrumental tributes to the band.

Led by the Chase brothers, Adam Chase and Matthew Chase, the ensemble features all-star performers, with members of The Giant Country Horns, Sun Ra, Cosmic Crewe, Dave Matthews Band, The Flecktones, Snarky Puppy, Pretty Lights Live Band, John Brown’s Body, Victor Wooten Band, Strange Design and more! You can find more about the band via their official website.

“Since forming the core group, we have had a number of high profile jazz and jam musicians reach out about their support of the project and desire to participate.” said Adam Chase. “We are very excited about this project and look forward to completing our upcoming album which will feature many incredible guest musicians that we will keep as a surprise for now!”

The band has announced a two-night run of performances, at the Brooklyn Bowl on December 19th in Brooklyn, NY, and the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC, on the 20th.
