American-Israeli quartet G-Nome is pumped for the band’s fall tour, which kicks off Tuesday night at Buffalo, NY’s Buffalo Iron Works.
The aptly billed GET PUMPED! Fall Tour will take G-Nome around the East Coast, the Midwest, and beyond over the course of the next two weeks. The ten-date tour will also include stops in Columbus, OH (11/9), Chicago, IL (11/10), Peoria IL (11/12), Cleveland, OH (11/13), Richmond, VA (11/15), Baltimore, MD (11/16), Providence, RI (11/17), Manchester, NH (11/19), and Philadelphia, PA (11/20). The tour will also feature lighting by Sam Edwards, known for his work with Aqueous.
The band, comprised of guitarist Yakir Hyman, bassist Zechariah Reich, keyboardist Eyal Salomon, and drummer Eran Asias, has grown an enthusiastic following with its pulse-raising live improvisation and progressive compositions blending psytrance, dance, and funk—a sound they lovingly categorize as “Grilled Cheese Funk at its finest.”
The sleek video used to announce the tour hints at new music on the horizon for G-Nome. The Dani Barbieri-directed clip, which depicts NYC-based singer Brittany Becket pumping iron in an industrial elevator as the tour dates scroll past, is soundtracked by a gritty, droning rendition of Willy Wonka classic “Pure Imagination”. A representative for G-Nome confirmed to Live For Live Music that the band will release the full version of the new “Pure Imagination” cover as a single during the GET PUMPED! Fall Tour. The band also plans to ride the momentum of the tour and single release into the studio to record its first-ever full-length album in the coming months.
