Last night, Jack Black appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in promotion of his upcoming Netflix movie, The Polka King. No stranger to comedic musical endeavors, such as his roles as the lead in School Of Rock or one-half of the beloved musical duo Tenacious D, The Polka King sees Black take on the role of Jan Lewan, a Polish polka phenomenon in the 1970’s turned convict for his development of a ponzi scheme that earned him millions. During his cameo on The Late Show, Black showed off his new-found polka skills, performing an energized and eccentric rendition of the song “Everybody Polka”.

The song was predictably hilarious and showed Black at his finest—including some great footwork on his end. Eschewing norms of more traditional Late Show performances, Black—who donned a red glittery leisure suit for the occasion—made sure to interact with the somewhat confused crowd, going up to a man in the front row to sing along with him during the refrain of “Doobie doobie doobie.” You can check out Jack Black’s polka performance below, courtesy of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
