Beloved comedic actor and Tenacious D frontman Jack Black rolled through Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week (Dec.10) in promotion of his newest movie Jumanji: The Next Level—which led to a discussion about the band’s recent collaboration with Jack White, the long-awaited meeting between Jacks White and Black.

According to Black, White called him up ahead of The D’s Post-Apocalypto tour stop in Nashville and asked if the rock duo wanted to stop in for a recording session at his home studio. “He was like, ‘Hey if you’re comin’ through, why don’t you come by and record a lil somethin’ at my home studio.'” Black continued, “And we were like, ‘Yes, we can’t say no to that,’ ’cause he’s a legend. He’s my idol. I love Jack White.” “He’s fantastic,” added Kimmel.

However, the eccentric rocker was not content with just recording an older song. “We gotta write a new song. So we wrote a song about how terrified we were to go rock for Jack White, and it’s called ‘Don’t Blow It, Kage'”—a reference to Tenacious D guitarist Kyle Gass.

Kimmel then asked Jack Black to describe what White’s studio was like. “If anyone gets a chance to go to Jack White’s house, jump on that opportunity,” Black responded. “It’s like going to Graceland.”

He went on to discuss his favorite aspect of the house and the animated Black painted the scene of a room that contained a throne placed between two large taxidermy lions—the same lions on the back cover of The Raconteurs‘ second album Consolers of the Lonely.
