While best known for his guitarwork, Jack White is apparently quite the jack of all trades. As the new Dead Weather album approaches its September 25th release date, White, who plays drums in the band, has shared a “drumming technique, design, and discussion” video showing off his chops.
As the drummer, White claims he’s “doing the gruntwork” and that he’s “the guy back here in the trenches, hitting the boom booms, making the scrilla.” The full video shows how White comes up with his drumming patterns and how his drum kit is uniquely designed, before shifting into a live Dead Weather video of the 2009 track “Hang You From The Heavens” with an alternate beat.
