Virgin Mobile FreeFest, which will take place on Oct. 6th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, announced its lineup today, via fans who participated in a contest on Virgin Mobile’s Twitter page. The festival, which is free, boasts some of the most relevant and ground-breaking artists in the music world today.
Tickets, which are sure to go within minutes, will be available to the public through www.ticketfly.com, on Friday, August 24th. A private presale will be held on August 23rd, to fans who choose to follow Virgin Mobile Live on Twitter.
There will also be an option for fans to get a limited number of “FREEMIUM PACKAGES”, which will include admission to the festival, various souvenirs and added options. These tickets will also be available via Ticketfly, the 9:30 Club and the Merriweather Post Pavilion box office.
The only thing that Virgin Mobile asks is that those who attend donate a minimum of $10 to The RE*Generation, the youth homelessness initiative that will be building a fully operational RE*Generation House, which will provide a community of homeless youth with access to not just housing, but programming around social entrepreneurship and urban agriculture.
