Jacob Collier, the revered young composer/multi-instrumentalist who recently received an “Album of the Year” Grammy nomination, has put his prodigious arranging chops to work on a new multi-track live recording of Bob Marley classic “Three Little Birds”.

The performance comes as part of the Bob Marley Sessions, a series of reimagined covers hosted by the late reggae icon’s estate celebrating Marley’s iconic catalog.

Much like the various viral videos behind which he rose to fame, this version of “Three Little Birds” was entirely arranged and performed by Collier from his North London home.

With his trademark close-harmony vocals and an impressive ukulele bass line at its core, the cover is as lush and sunny as ever. Watch Jacob Collier play all the parts on a reimagined rendition of “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley below.

These types of harmonic exercises have been Collier’s bread and butter for years, helping him capture the attention of countless music giants. As Collier’s manager and legendary producer Adam Fell told Billboard in a recent interview, “There was a period of time in Quincy [Jones]’s life where he walked into every single meeting — it didn’t matter whether it was with Queen Rania of JordanHillary Clinton or Donald Glover — and the first thing he would do is pull out his laptop and a Bluetooth speaker, and play Jacob’s video of [Stevie Wonder’s] ‘Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing,’ and he would say, ‘Have you ever seen anything like this in your life? Because I haven’t.’”

While Jacob Collier unsurprisingly lost out on his recent long-shot nomination for the 2020 “Album of the Year” Grammy, Collier added to his collection of statues with a win for “Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals” on Djesse Vol. 3 track “He Won’t Hold You”. In doing so, Collier made history as the first British artist to win a Grammy for each of his first four albums (In My RoomDjesse Vol. 1Djesse Vol. 2, and Djesse Vol. 3).
