James Blake and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon have teamed up to produce a harrowing version of Simon & Garfunkel’s 1964 folk classic, “The Sound of Silence”.

Worlds Collide: James Blake Remixes Gorillaz’s ‘Feel Good Inc’

The duo released the cover of the tune on BBC Radio 1 last night during Blake’s weekly Thursday night residency. Blake closed out the show by dedicating the song to a friend who had passed away on New Year’s Eve this year.

The pair of soulful indie crooners had previously collaborated on “Fall Creek Boys Choir” back in 2011. Blake has also confirmed that Vernon will appear on his forthcoming album, Radio Silence.
