Today, Jams on the Sand announced the artist lineup for their third-annual free summer concert series, set to take place each Thursday from June 21st through August 30th at beachside venue The Anchor’s Bend in Asbury Park, NJ.
Presented by The Anchor’s Bend in conjunction with the Asbury Park Press, the series will showcase a different national recording artist every week. The performers range widely in style–from funk to soul to roots rock, jam, and reggae–offering something for everyone over the course of the summer.
This year’s Jams on the Sand performers include Mihali (of Twiddle), Bencoolen, Pink Talking Fish, Kung Fu, Aqueous, Organ Freeman, Juice, Little Stranger, Locos Por Juana, Ikebe Shakedown, Mungion, Aztec Sun, and New Kingston.
Brand-new act cB3–comprised of Chris Buono on guitar, Ben Stivers on keys (Gregg Allman/Bee Gees/Chris Botti), and Tobias Ralph on drums (Adrian Belew/Lauryn Hill)—will kick off each show in the series at 6 pm.
The events will be hosted rain or shine, with The Anchor’s Bend promenade or the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall to be used in case of inclement weather. The rotating lineup will perform on the Beach Stage of Anchor’s Bend from 5 to 10 p.m. each week. 21+ admitted only in all drinking areas. Happy Hour specials will be available from 5 to 7 p.m.
