An impressive roster of musicians will come together at Brooklyn Bowl next month to form Jazz Is Phish, an instrumental Phish tribute act led by the Chase brothers, Adam Chase and Matthew Chase. This unique take on the Phish songs you know and love will feature talent from members of The Giant Country Horns, Sun Ra, Cosmic Crewe, Dave Matthews Band, The Flecktones, Snarky Puppy, Pretty Lights Live Band, John Brown’s Body, Victor Wooten Band, Strange Design, and more. The show will take place on 12/19 and tickets are now available here.
Adam Chase spoke to us about this unique concept’s formation. “Since forming the core group, we have had a number of high profile jazz and jam musicians reach out about their support of the project and desire to participate,” he said. “We are very excited about this project and look forward to completing our upcoming album which will feature many incredible guest musicians that we will keep as a surprise for now!”
Following the Brooklyn Bowl show, the band will play the Howard Theatre in Washington DC on 11/20.
