There’s something magical about the music of Phish, and a great number of musicians know it. The group’s expansive catalog has attracted many a musical fan over the years, and, most recently, a number of them converged to form the Jazz Is Phish project. Inspired by Jazz Is Dead, members of Strange Design, Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten Band, Sun Ra Arkestra/Kool & The Gang and more have played in the band, and will be bringing their unique tribute to New Orleans during Jazz Fest season!

Jazz Is Phish will hit the Howlin Wolf on April 26th, bringing along an all-star lineup of musicians for the tribute. Tickets are on sale now and moving fast! To get a taste of the group, check out a new video compilation capturing their magic, below:

The full lineup for Jazz Is Phish’s NOLA performance includes Chris Bullock (Snarky Puppy), Michael Ray (Sun Ra/Kool & The Gang), Anthony Wellington (Victor Wooten Band), Derrick Johnson (Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band), Josh Thomas (With Lions), Adam Chase (Chase Brothers) and Matthew Chase (Chase Brothers). This is one late night celebration you won’t want to miss!

They’ll also be paired up with a unique tribute to The Band, hosted by Turkuaz. More information about that set can be found here. The show starts with a separate tribute to Amy Winehouse as well, led by vocalist Elise Testone and featuring musicians from Snarky Puppy, Trey Anastasio Band, Allen Toussaint and more.
