On Tuesday, the Jerry Garcia Foundation announced the launch of a new label, Only Love Records. The new initiative is a collaborative project with Seven Seas Music with the goal of raising proceeds to benefit the American Himalayan Foundation.

The first release on Only Love is Annapurna’s Song: Music of the Himalayas, a compilation of recordings from a variety of artists from the Himalayan part of the world. For Deadheads, the highlight of the album is a track called “Clouds”, a Sanjay Mishra song featuring Jerry Garcia on guitar. As Jambands.com reports, the track was recorded in 1995 at the Dead’s California studio and had previously originally appeared on Mishra’s 1995 album in tribute to Garcia, Blue Incantation.

Other artists whose recordings appear on the compilation include Misty Terrace, Shyam Nepali, Phosphenes, Tenzin Namgyal, Jerusha Rai, Sofiyum, Alif, Kutumba, Bartika Eam Rai, Sajjan Raj, and Choying Drolma & Steve Tibbetts.
