Dark Star Orchestra has been a fan-favorite Grateful Dead-inspired act for decades. They are well-known road dogs, extensively and regularly touring the country and bringing their exacting recreations of specific Grateful Dead shows to the masses. Today, the band has announced that DSO guitarist Jeff Mattson will have the distinct honor of using Jerry Garcia‘s legendary Wolf guitar this Friday, November 9th in Lowell, MA at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The band will perform “an original setlist composed with the Wolf in mind”, as the custom-built Doug Irwin guitar fuels the band’s recreations during their fall tour opener.

Focusing heavily on the East Coast for their fall tour, Dark Star Orchestra will wind through New England’s familiar towns, including multiple-night stands in at Huntington, NY’s The Paramount; Richmond, VA’s The National; and Philadelphia, PA’s Electric Factory; as well as their return to Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem.
