An all-star lineup of musicians will pay tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett in the only way the “Margaritaville” mogul would have wanted: with one giant party. On April 11th, 2024 at the Hollywood Bowl, the concert dubbed Keep The Party Going: A Tribute To Jimmy Buffett will honor the late lackadaisical soft rock icon who died last year at age 76.
The lineup for the concert features a wide variety of Buffett’s friends and collaborators including Paul McCartney, Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Zac Brown, Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Scotty Emerick, Jack Johnson, Caroline Jones, Mac McAnally, Jake Owen, Pitbull, Jake Shimabukuro, and Jimmy’s own The Coral Reefer Band, with more special guests to be announced later.
Tickets for Keep The Party Going: A Tibute to Jimmy Buffett will go on sale to the general public on March 15th at 10 a.m. PT here. American Express cardmembers will have access to a pre-sale running from Wednesday, March 13th at 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, March 14th at 10 p.m. PT.
The Hollywood Bowl concert will signal the most grandiose tribute yet for the “Son of a Son of a Sailor”, who passed away on September 1st from skin cancer. At last year’s CMA Awards ceremony, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Mac McAnally, and Zac Brown united for a medley of Buffett’s hits including “A Pirate Looks at Forty” and “Margaritaville”. Looking ahead, at the finale of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Sunday, May 5th, Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band will also stage a tribute to their late bandleader to close out the festival.
