Today, John Mayer hinted on social media that he will release new music tomorrow. Co-produced by John Mayer and No I.D., “New Light” is seemingly part one of a multi-“Night” series. While the pop-star turned Dead & Company vocalist/guitarist spends most of his free time in the studio, this new release will mark his first since 2017’s The Search For Everything.
The Search For Everything came four years after 2013’s Paradise Valley. While the time gap was never suggestive of Mayer taking any sort of musical break, it became clear that the time was spent working on himself. Now, he’s full speed ahead.
