To add even more icing to Bonnaroo’s proverbial cake, in a recent interview published by Rolling Stone, John Oates (of Hall and Oates fame) has announced some spoilers to be revealed in during his performance at his Bonnaroo Rock N’ Soul Dance Party superjam. As if the excitement to see his performance alongside Larry Graham (of Sly and the Family Stone), Jim James (of My Morning Jacket), Zigaboo Modeliste (of the Meters), Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Carl Bromel, Bilal and Cyro Baptista wasn’t enough, Oates has mentioned a bit more that audience members should expect.

“I’ve been waiting my whole life to play this set,” says Oates, so you know you’re in for a treat. The Superjam will consist of Prince’s “1999,” “Standing on Shaky Ground” originally performed by the Temptations, and some Sly and the Family Stone songs, among many others. As well, Oates mentioned that “R.Kelly might stop by,” so expect the unexpected to come out of that addition.

All in all, this superjam is sure to be something you do not want to miss out on; catch it on Saturday, June 15th at the This tent from midnight to 2 a.m. You can view the entire schedule for this upcoming weekend’s festivities here.
