The family of the late John Prine will present a livestream tribute to the songwriting legend later this month, titled Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine. Prine passed away at the age of 73 on April 7th after a battle with COVID-19.

Picture Show will see an all-star cast of musicians pay tribute to Prine, including Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell and Amanda ShiresJim James (My Morning Jacket), Dan Auerbach, Margo Price, Vince Gill, and Brandi Carlile. Other performers include Kacey MusgravesBonnie RaittEric Church, Kurt Vile, The Secret Sisters, Fiona Whelan Prine, Jack PrineTommy Prine, as well as John Prine’s own backing band, and more.

Additionally, many well-known celebrities will “attend” the event, including Bill Murray, Stephen ColbertBilly Bob ThorntonRita WilsonKyra Sedgwick, and Kevin Bacon, and will also include “Rare and never-before-seen footage of John himself,” according to Consequence of Sound.

Picture Show will raise funds for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Make the Road New York, and Alive, which supports those who have lost a loved one to COVID-19.
