Jon Batiste To Host Allen Toussaint Tribute, With Proceeds Going To Toussaint’s Charity

Beloved NOLA musician (and Late Show With Stephen Colbert bandleader) Jon Batiste has announced an exciting tribute performance to the one and only Allen Toussaint. As Toussaint passed away last week, Batiste will welcome special guests for the concert.

It all goes down next Saturday, November 28th, at the City Winery in New York, NY. We’re certainly eager to hear what special guests Batiste recruits for this one of a kind performance. In addition, all of the proceeds will go to New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness, a charity that Toussaint himself founded with Aaron Neville.
