The fifth annual June Lake Jam Fest will return to California’s beautiful Gull Lake Park on September 6th- 8th.

Nestled in the Sierra Crest in the June Lake Loop, June Lake Jam Fest will host three days of live music in one of the country’s most scenic landscapes. Hosted by Mono Arts Council, June Lake Jam Fest is less than an hour drive to Yosemite, Mono Lake, and Bodie.

The benefit festival is 90% volunteer-led in hopes to bring a rich musical event to Mono Country for both residents and visitors. Funds raised will support music instruction opportunities for children via MAC sponsored music camps and school music programs.

This year’s lineup poses the best one yet, with scheduled performances across all genres of jam, funk, Americana, and rock. Attendees can look forward to featured sets by Melvin Seals and JGB, The Mother Hips, Cubensis – Grateful Dead Music Experience, Groovensession, Dead Winter Carpenters, Jason Sinay, Matthew Curry, The Coffis Bros, Hunter and the Dirty Jacks, Mojo Green, Mestizo Beat, Dusty Green Bones Band, Hempstring Orchestra, and Mammoth HS Jazz Band. Friday night’s party will continue at the T-Bar Social Club for a jam-fest after party with The Higgsand will follow with a Saturday night after party with The Alligators. Tickets sold to the after parties will also go towards the music benefit.

With the intimate musical experience capped at 1,000 people, attendees aren’t bound by long lines and huge crowds. Families are encouraged to attend to foster the school music programs, and bring blankets and chairs for added comfortability in the scenic environment. Room for dancing included!

June Lake Jam Fest coordinator Janet Hunt remarks on the festival’s location:

“It’s just one of the most beautiful locations in the Eastern Sierra. There are lots of events in Mammoth Lakes, none of which are located in a county park right on a lake with a gorgeous view of Carson Peak and the Sierra Crest. It has been suggested that we will have to relocate the festival at some point to accommodate more people and it is just not going to happen. We will always be that small boutique festival that you don’t ever want to miss. Music is a magical place!”

Along with all the music, attendees can spend the weekend exploring all of what “the loop” has to offer. Attendees can spend time under September’s golden rays in the mountainous scenery hiking, canoeing, fishing, soaking in hot springs, mountain biking, rock climbing, and paddle boarding. Multiple options of lodging, restaurants, and breweries are all within an easy walking distance to the festival grounds. There is also a local cannabis boutique and a world-class spa close to the venue grounds for those who want to enjoy the weekend to the fullest. “This event brings together a perfect combination of incredible music shared with kind humans in a gorgeous natural setting. And in addition, having this high quality event generate funding that supports MAC programs for kids, makes it an experience that has ongoing positive energy. It never gets old to walk through the crowd and see all the happy smiling faces. We all need more of this sense of belonging and community in our lives,” Hunt said.
