NYC-native bassist/bandleader Karina Rykman has announced a headlining performance at one of her favorite hometown haunts, Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets for the February 24th, 2022 performance are on sale now. Additionally, the Marco Benevento bassist and her eponymous trio will support TOO MANY ZOOZ on the group’s April 2022 No Stolen Bases Tour.
The Brooklyn Bowl show follows a recent stretch of out-of-town dates including performances at Holidaze in Puerto Morelos, Mexico and North Beach Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL. Now, Rykman is excited to bring things home to New York for a party with her fellow city kids.
“Wildly stoked to bring my band to the Brooklyn Bowl for a headlining show!” Karina tells Live For Live Music. “It’s been a long time since we played a proper NYC gig, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to do it.”
The Brooklyn Bowl performance will kick off a busy winter/spring 2022 touring schedule for Rykman and her trio, which also features guitarist Adam November and drummer Chris Corsico. In March, Karina and company will jump on tour with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong for a 15-show supporting run. In April, she’ll link up with TOO MANY ZOOZ for a seven-show stretch of shows through the Eastern U.S. In May, the band will head out to Morrison, CO to open for The Infamous Stringdusters at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
