The buoyant bassist has kept far from quiet over quarantine, originally staving off boredom with a series of virtual appearances at online events including Quarantine Comes Alive. In addition to playing private shows at fans’ homes, Rykman recently teamed up with keyboardist John Medeski and drummer John Morgan Kimock for a one-off, all-improv concert. Rykman’s flurry of quarantine activities even caught the attention of a local ABC affiliate.
