Jambase has confirmed that Karl Denson will be performing with The Rolling Stones on their upcoming North American Tour. Denson was connected to the Stones by Lenny Kravitz towards the end of 2014, and wound up accompanying the band as their touring saxophonist during a tour through Australia and New Zealand.

Denson was filling in for the legendary Bobby Keys, the longtime Stones saxophonist who passed away last December at the age of 70. 

It was unclear who would be playing as the band’s saxophonist on the upcoming tour, until this morning when it was confirmed that Denson was to resume his role. Denson will now officially be part of the Rolling Stones touring band, along with Chuck Leavell, who is scheduled to sit-in with Denson’s band Tiny Universe at the Lockn’ Festival. 

The Stones’ tour kicks off on May 24th in San Diego, Denson’s hometown. Until then, check out a few great videos from last year’s tour with Denson:
