After two years of cancellations, Kaslo Jazz Etc. Summer Music Festival will return to Kaslo Bay Park in Kaslo, BC July 29th–31st with a lineup including Greensky Bluegrass, Dumpstaphunk, Valerie June, Everyone Orchestra, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Dead South, and more.
Founded in 1992, Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival showcases a stylistically diverse mix of big names and newly discovered artists from the worlds of blues, jazz, latin, folk, world music, and more. The festival’s unique floating stage sits in the historic Kaslo Bay, transforming Kaslo Bay Park into a natural green amphitheater with world-class musicians performing against a scenic backdrop of mountains and sky throughout the weekend.
Selected as one of the “Top ten places to get out doors and be in tune” by USA Today and one of the “Top 10 places to enjoy outdoor summer music” by REUTERS, the Kaslo Bay floating stage has been recognized as one of the premier outdoor music venues in the world.
Festival-goers can enjoy dancing in the sand, swimming around the stage, or relaxing in the grass with craft beer and other delicious offerings from local food and drink vendors. The festival will also offer yoga and other workshops, as well as family-friendly entertainment hosted in the Kaslo Jazz Kids Tent, which will include crafts, face painting, bubbles, jugglers, puppet shows, and other performances. Youth Weekend Passes are available for kids between seven and 12, and passes for children under seven are free.
Onsite camping is not available, but there are multiple campsites, cabins, and other accommodations in the surrounding area.
